UNC Week of Welcome Event:
This show is part of Morehead Planetarium & Science Center's Week of Welcome event, open exclusively to UNC students. The Week of Welcome Event for 2022 will be between 4PM and 6PM on Tuesday August 23rd.
This ticket is for admission to a special showing of the Carolina Skies planetarium show during the event at the time noted above.
This ticket also includes general admission to all our exhibits, science stages, and launch lab activities during the entire event.
OneCard required:
This event and special show is available only for current UNC undergraduate and graduate students. A valid UNC OneCard must be shown at check-in for all participants. If you purchase multiple tickets, a OneCard is required for each guest on your order.
Week of Welcome 2022 Discount:
UNC Students receive free general admission to Morehead Planetarium & Science Center year-round. Tickets to planetarium shows are only $5/each for current students. For this 2022 Week of Welcome event, student tickets receive a -$3.00 discount, already applied to the tickets below.
COVID-19 Mask Policy: Optional
In line with updated UNC System guidance, and based on Orange County Health Department, CDC, and NC DHHS policies, masks for visitors are now optional at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Click here for more information. This policy is subject to change as required upon updated guidance or requirements from UNC Chapel Hill, and state/local ordinances.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
All ticket sales are final and refunds are not available for absent guests or unused tickets. In the event this program is cancelled as a result of severe weather or other closure, ticketholders will be refunded or offered an exchange to a different show.
