Astronauts trained at Morehead Planetarium in the 1960s and 70s, but why here and what did they learn? Find out how the training in stellar identification saved lives and brought Neil Armstrong and his colleagues to town. Michael Neece will begin his presentation promptly at 6 in the Full Dome Theater.

Michael G. Neece is a local author who writes science history, young adult novels, and children's picture books. He works part-time at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center and full time for a pharmaceutical company as a computer programmer.
