COVID-19 Mask Policy:
In accordance with University guidelines, all guests age 2 and older are required to wear a mask while inside of the building. At this time, we are not accepting gaiters, vented masks, or bandanas. We are asking that you delay your visit if you or anyone in your party cannot wear a mask for any reason. In the meantime, we invite you to explore our virtual program offerings. Timed Entry/Admission:
This ticket includes both admission to the planetarium show (about 45 minutes) in addition to general admission to our exhibits and other demonstrations after the show for the remaining hour and 15 minutes of the ticketed time, for a total 2-hour admission. The ticket does not include admission to exhibits before the show, or after the end time on the ticket.
Ticket Availability: limit 10 tickets/order
Tickets for this program will go on sale 2 weeks prior, and be available up to one hour prior to the program. If you have difficulty with online sales, contact the box office at 919.962.1236 or by email at mpsc_tickets@unc.edu. Our box office is currently open M-F, 9AM -3PM, except holidays.
Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Tickets will not be available for sale in-person.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:
All ticket sales are final and refunds are not available for absent guests or unused tickets. Purchased tickets may be exchanged for admission to another show of equal or lesser value occurring within the next two weeks if availability permits, however, requests for exchange must be made no later than the day prior to the date on the original ticket. Requests for exchange on or after the date on the original ticket are not accommodated. In the event this program is cancelled as a result of severe weather or other closure, ticketholders will be refunded or offered an exchange to a different show.
Parking 9/11/21:
The parking lot in front of Morehead Planetarium is owned by UNC Chapel Hill and has been reserved by the University for gameday parking for the home football game on 9/11/21 starting at 5:30PM, 2 hours prior to gametime. Planetarium guests will be able to park in this lot until that time.
Guests arriving or departing after 5:30pm will be unable to park in this lot, but may find parking on franklin street, at the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E Rosemary St about a block away, or in other town parking lots. Town parking most lots is at least $1/hr but may not include fees or taxes. See here for more information about parking in town lots in Chapel Hill. Please plan to arrive more than 15 minutes early to allow time for parking a bit further away.
