About this special screening:
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is working with our friends at Spitz Creative Media to host test screenings and gather feedback for their new fulldome show, Atlas of a Changing Earth. The show tells the story of how a revolution in one of the most basic of all human enterprises – the making of maps – is shedding new light on our planet’s evolution in the wake of rising global temperatures. Viewers will learn more about the dynamic processes that cause melting glaciers in Greenland and Antarctica, and explore how rising seas could threaten coastlines and communities all over the world. After the show, we'll break out into two smaller groups where guests will complete a brief (10-minute) written survey. The show and the survey will take no more than 50 minutes total.

After the screening and survey are completed, all guests are invited to explore the newly renovated Morehead and experience a live science demonstration on our Science Stage.
